WMHS Boy's Basketball

The WMHS Boys Basketball team had one goal at the beginning of the season and that was to make it to the tournament.  And then they set another goal, to win a game in Augusta. Coach Roy and the Wiscasset Wolverines concluded their amazing season at the Augusta Civic Center on February 21 in a semi-final tournament loss to powerhouse Valley, following an exciting and hard fought quarterfinal win over Buckfield on February 17. The team finished the regular season and tournament games at 10-10 and ranked #5 in D South. The squad doesn't have a dominant player when you look at the stats, but they don't have any seniors, so the future is bright. The team is sound on the defensive end. Coach Roy shares that this is "a great group of kids that continue to work hard and improve. This is my first year coaching this team." This was Wiscasset's first appearance in the tournament since 2017. None of the boys had any tournament experience and looked forward to playing in the tournament environment.  The Wiscasset community is proud of our student athletes and is looking forward to watching the improved success in our basketball program for the foreseeable future.
