Special Education Ed Tech III opening:

Wiscasset Elementary School is a Pre K-5th grade school with approximately 200 students. We pride ourselves on being a small school environment with the ability to focus on individual student growth.

We are currently looking for an outstanding Educational Technician III to join our Special Education team. Must have ME Department of Education Educational Technician endorsement.  Experience at the primary level preferred.

COACHING POSITIONS

Location: Wiscasset Middle High School

Application Deadline: until suitable candidates are selected

Overview:

Wiscasset Middle High School is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced coaches for multiple athletic programs at both the middle school and high school levels. We are committed to fostering an environment that promotes teamwork, discipline, and personal growth among our student-athletes.

Available Coaching Positions:

  • MS & HS Basketball (Boys and Girls)

  • HS Swimming (Boys and Girls)

  • MS Cheering

  • MS & HS Baseball

  • MS & HS Softball

  • MS & HS Track & Field (Boys and Girls)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement practice plans and game strategies.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive team environment.

  • Mentor and develop student-athletes’ skills and sportsmanship.

  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration.

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes.

  • Manage equipment and maintain inventory.

  • Adhere to all school district policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Previous coaching experience in the relevant sport.

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and community members.

  • Passion for working with middle school or high school students.

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Van Driver 

Part-time (20 hours per week)  to transport students as needed- Must have Maine DOE CHRC certification and ME drivers license - position will remain open until suitable candidate is found.  The successful candidate will have an excellent driving record, ability to drive in adverse weather conditions and the ability to work collaboratively with school staff, students and parents.

WISCASSET SCHOOL DEPARTMENT IS SEEKING ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT SUBSTITUTES

Job Summary:  

The individuals will:  provide secretarial/administrative support to the principal and other staff; communicate information to learners, parents, staff, and/or other schools, comply with financial, legal and administrative requirements; and support the broad array of services provided to learners, parents, instructional and support employees. This position requires adherence to confidentiality.  Assigned duties, public contact, and multiple task management are integral to the position.  The right person will familiarize themselves with school policies and procedures and is expected to exercise a high degree of initiative and independent judgment in problem solving.
