What You'll Do:
Clean and disinfect bathrooms and all high-touch surfaces
Handle trash removal throughout the building
Assist with washing classroom floors
Move furniture and equipment as needed
Perform all standard custodial duties with pride and attention to detail
What You'll Bring:
Previous cleaning experience helpful, but not necessary, we will train
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Positive interaction skills with students and staff
Willingness to learn new cleaning methods and techniques
Reliable personal transportation
Physical capability to lift heavy items and move furniture

Compensation & Benefits:
Starting pay: $18.93 per hour (with no experience)
Experienced candidates: Up to $26.07 per hour based on experience level

POSITION - HIGH SCHOOL MATH TEACHER
Join the outstanding Mathematics Team at Wiscasset Middle High School for the 25-26 school year. WMHS is seeking a motivated high school math teacher to teach Algebra 2, Geometry PreCalculus and Calculus. Candidates for this position should hold a Secondary Teacher endorsement (300 mathematics) from the Maine Department of Education, or be eligible for this certification.
At WMHS, math teachers direct, facilitate, and enhance student learning to be consistent with the curriculum and place-based learning practices, utilizing appropriate instructional material, strategies and technology in order to ensure that students become successful in the understanding and learning of math concepts and application of skills. Additional responsibilities include:
Providing positive leadership and instruction to create learning opportunities for students with information and knowledge essential to mastery of WMHS standards for Algebra 2, Geometry, PreCalculus, and Calculus.
Knowing the subject to be taught and how to differentiate instruction.
Employing the use of technology and supplemental materials for instruction
Using multiple assessment strategies to record students’ mastery of content and standards
Recording achievement and assessment results, and providing student feedback in a timely fashion
Seeking assistance or guidance, when needed, to address the needs of students
Establishing classroom behavior expectations and standards of conduct that reflect school operating procedures and board policy
Maintaining an orderly, respectful classroom environment conducive to learning while recognizing and supporting individual differences
Participating in faculty dialogue regarding instruction and learning and participates in student activities
Communicating with families on a consistent basis

POSITION: SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER
The Wiscasset School Department is seeking a highly qualified Special Education Teacher to work in their Elementary Schools behavior program. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to develop appropriate programming for each student. Successful candidates will possess a strong understanding of the needs of at-risk students and have effectively integrated behavioral support services, social-emotional learning opportunities, and executive functioning skills into their teaching to foster independence among students. Successful candidates will have a strong grasp of content knowledge, including best practices in special education rules, regulations, and instruction in order to support our students and the vision of the school. A 282 certification is required.

POSITION: SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST

Wiscasset Schools is looking for a part time School Psychologist to service students across all grades PreK-12. The successful candidate will work as a part of a collaborative team to conduct educational evaluations, observations, and assessments as needed, as well as consulting and collaborating with special education staff at all levels of PreK-12. The preferred candidate will have experience and knowledge of mental health, behavioral needs, and trauma-informed instruction.

POSITION: SCHOOL COUNSELOR
Wiscasset Middle High School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counselor to support all students in grades 6-12 in reaching their fullest personal and academic potential. This position plays a crucial role in providing guidance services, fostering social emotional learning, and preparing students for college and career success. The WMHS School Counselor would plan and provide social emotional and career readiness lessons for middle school students, encourage Early College courses, Extended Learning Opportunities, and Advanced Placement classes for high school students, create activities and enrichment that focus on college and career readiness for the high school's Advisory Program, and be a strong advocate for students, communicator with families, and collaborator with administration and teachers.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in School Counseling
075 certification (School Counselor, Grades K-12)
Prior experience as a school counselor, including:
Advocating for academic support and intervention strategies
Offering social emotional learning activities
Providing college and career readiness opportunities
Teaching experience is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive academic, social emotional, and college and career guidance to all students
Develop and implement the Comprehensive School Counseling Program
Support students in academic planning and educational interventions
Deliver middle school guidance lessons to promote social emotional growth and career awareness
Assist students with post-secondary planning, including college and career goals

POSITION: Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach (Reports to the Director of Athletics)
Job Goal: To lead the Girls Basketball team by helping each participating student-athlete to learn sport-specific skills and improved self-esteem, to develop an appreciation for the values of commitment, discipline and sportsmanship. To direct a school-sponsored team that exemplifies integrity, respect and discipline at all times.
Qualifications:

POSITION: VAN DRIVER
