Owl Pellets

First grade has been learning all about owls in science. We have learned about their habitat, life cycle, and diet. The highlight of the week was dissecting owl pellets. This is not owl poop; rather, it is the bits of bones and fur that an owl can not digest and spits back up. These were  REAL owl pellets that the kids got a chance to get hands-on with. They found so many cool bones and animal body parts. The kids were AMAZED!
