The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program continues at Wiscasset Elementary School!!

Theresa Johnson says the kids loved the kiwi this week, and they were just as excited to try the rainbow mini carrots. Ms. Johnson explained that the kitchen buys local fruits and veggies whenever possible. When local isn’t an option, which happens a lot here in the Northeast, everything is still sourced from the U.S. The hope is that all this tasting leads to a lifelong habit of eating healthy.
