Wiscasset Boys Varsity Soccer team defeats Dirigo 1-0 to remain in the middle of the playoff hunt in the South Conference.

Teagan Marr scored and assisted by Julien King in a beautiful one touch pass and score from the left-hand side of the penalty area. The defense played a phenomenal job solidifying the backline led by Kiernan Atwood, Isaiah Smith, and Dylan Rines, achieving a shutout. One important dynamic was Dylan Rines providing offensive push from the defensive left back position, which caused some great offensive overloads and put pressure on Dirigo late in the first half.

Wiscasset has two games remaining in the regular season ending on Senior Day, October 17th in Wiscasset, and it will decide playoff aspirations and positioning.

Our next game is Carrabec, Thursday, October 15th, at home at 4:00 pm.
