The Wiscasset Boys Varsity team experiences the beautiful Maine coast and island life by traveling to Islesboro, Maine. The Maine State Ferry Service plays an important part in the lives of many Maine communities, so it’s a wonderful experience for our student-athletes.
The Margaret Chase Smith ferry is operated by the Maine State Ferry Service, connecting Lincolnville Beach and the island of Islesboro. Depending on the month, the ferry makes the twenty-minute passage between 12 and 18 times per day. The boat leaves Lincolnville on the hour, and Islesboro at half past the hour, so it provides an incredible experience for our Wiscasset Students.
