A Great First Day at Wiscasset Schools

The school year is off to a wonderful start at Wiscasset Elementary and Wiscasset Middle High School.

The day began with our bus drivers picking up students and getting them to school safely — the first friendly faces so many of our kids see each morning. When students arrived, they walked into clean, shiny classrooms and hallways, thanks to our custodians, who worked hard all summer to get the buildings ready.

Our teachers and staff were all in place and ready to teach, welcoming students back at both schools. And in the kitchens, our staff had been cooking away, ready to serve up breakfast and lunch.

It takes a lot of people working together to make a first day go smoothly, and everyone did their part. Both schools are safe and welcoming, and we couldn't be happier to have our students back. Here's to a great year ahead!
