Fabulous Fairytales

Miss Gove’s class participated with a book publishing company called “Student Treasures,” where students wrote a fairytale! The process started with a graphic organizer where students created characters, a setting, a plot, and a conflict. Then, they took their ideas and created a rough draft. Once they checked their writing for capitalization, punctuation, and spelling, they got to move into the final process: the final draft. The final draft consisted of lined paper and a page for a drawing to bring their ideas to life. Each student took the time to think of creative ideas and how to properly execute them within their writing. Miss Gove worked with this company last year, where students created narrative stories, and wanted to carry on the project this year, as it’s a great way to honor each student's writing and the books become memorable artifacts as they continue to grow throughout the years as writers. Fabulous work, third graders!
