Windstorm Challenge 2026
The 11th annual Windstorm Challenge was hosted by the University of Maine Orono. It's a statewide competition in which students have to build the most stable offshore wind turbine hull to test and present to judges. Over 50 teams competed at the middle school and high school levels. WMHS was proudly represented by Erik Dube and Brandon Jansen. They were great ambassadors of the Wiscasset spirit "We are small but we are mighty" by demonstrating what impressive feats a small town in downeast Maine can accomplish.
