Read for Willow

Students and staff at WES/WMHS will hold a read-a-thon fundraiser on Friday, Feb. 16 to support fifth grader, Willow Orr, who is experiencing serious medical challenges which require intensive medical treatment and travel.

WES/WMHS students are invited to gather donations for 45 minutes of reading across the schools. More detailed information will be sent home with each child.

Heard daily through WES are the phrases, "Be aware and show you care," and, "We take care of each other at WES". This fundraiser is giving students real life opportunities to demonstrate these skills.

On this special day, we will hold a school-wide assembly, where our WES Chorus will share songs of love, kindness and friendship. Students and staff are invited to wear purple in honor of Willow on that day. Later on that same day, all staff and students will read for 30-40 minutes as part of this community wide initiative. The funds raised will help the family with travel costs and other related medical expenses.
