After School Program Coordinator 

The After School Program Coordinator will coordinate and ensure proper supervision for after school clubs and activities at the WMHS including the new Server Club, the Outing Club, and Teens to Trails activities. This person will also collaborate with After School Adventures at the Wiscasset Community Center to design and implement Middle School outdoor and experiential learning, problem-solving, and team-building programs on ERDs. This work will include coordinating activities with area nonprofit resources including the Midcoast Conservancy and  Chewonki, and identifying potential other resources in the local community. 

The ideal candidate has experience working with teenagers in an outdoor learning setting, loves nature and laughter, possesses a current CHRC background check, is first aid certified, has excellent and friendly interpersonal skills, is organized, and has experience with outdoor activities like hiking, alpine skiing, snowshoeing, and mountain biking.

The position is 10 hours per week at $32 per hour for the remainder of the 23-24 school year. All candidates must have completed ME Department of Education fingerprints and CHRC. WISCASSET SCHOOL DEPARTMENT IS SEEKING ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT SUBSTITUTES

Job Summary:  

The individuals will:  provide secretarial/administrative support to the principal and other staff; communicate information to learners, parents, staff, and/or other schools, comply with financial, legal and administrative requirements; and support the broad array of services provided to learners, parents, instructional and support employees. This position requires adherence to confidentiality.  Assigned duties, public contact, and multiple task management are integral to the position.  The right person will familiarize themselves with school policies and procedures and is expected to exercise a high degree of initiative and independent judgment in problem solving.
