Middle School Soccer Playoffs Update:
Due to driver shortages, both teams will be traveling on the same bus to different locations. The teams will depart from the school at 2:20. The girls' team will be dropped off at Medomak first and will play at 4:00. The boys' will then be driven to Oceanside and will begin playing at 4:00 as well. The team playing in the game ends first will be picked up first, and then the second team will be picked up.

GREAT NEWS!!!! 7th and 8th Grade students will be attending the Chewonki DAY trip activities this year!!! Chewonki, or wonderful educational partners, assisted us in providing the same experience for the 8th grade as they missed the trip last year! Thank you all. Please fill out the health forms for the 7/8 grade students. WE will be beginning at 8:00 a.m.....and returning just past 2:00 p.m. every day!

There will be a Booster Club meeting on Thursday, October 13 at 6:00 PM at the WMHS Library. The Club is looking for more volunteers! If you are interested, please attend the meeting!
Middle school girls' soccer announcement!
Searsport only has a boys' team, which includes 2 female players. Because of this lost opportunity to play for our girls, we will be forming a coed team as well. The eighth grade girls will accompany the boys on the trip, as this is their last middle school season and we would like to have them play in as many games as possible. The eighth grade boys will also go on the trip, along with the 7th grade boys. The sixth graders on both teams, along with the 7th grade girls, will go home after school on Monday. The bus will depart at 1:35. The team will stop at McDonald's on their way home.

Unfortunately, today's HS cross country meet in Freeport has been cancelled. Athletes will travel on the van and practice at the regular time at Boothbay HS.
Coaches Winchenbach and Scott of the high school cross country team were able to put together and opportunity for a new meet after today's cancellation!
The meet is at Hunter Road in Freeport and is hosted by Freeport High School. Boys will start at 4:30, with the girls following at 5:00. No transportation is available from the high school. Athletes will have to ride with parents or find alternative transportation. If athletes find different transportation, they must complete the travel waiver form found on the district website's athletics page.
Today's high school cross country meet at UMA has been cancelled with no make-up date. The middle school soccer games have been postponed today and a possible make-up date will be announced as soon as possible
On Wednesday, October 5th, the Wiscasset Fire Dept. will be at WES to present on fire safety. PreK-1 will be held at 9:00 and grades 2-5 will be held at10:00. They will roughly run about 30 minutes and we will have them in the cafeteria or the gym (if it is a nice day and PE can be held outside). Wiscasset Fire Department Open House is also this evening.

The postponed middle school soccer games have been rescheduled for Thursday, September 22 at home against Camden-Rockport. Games will begin at 3:45 with girls playing first.

Homecoming will be the week of October 3, with a homecoming girls' soccer game being played at 6:00 PM against Monmouth Academy!
Middle school cross country announcement!
The first middle school cross country meet, originally scheduled for Thursday, September 22, has been changed. The meet will now be on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 at Boothbay. with the girls starting first at 4:00 PM. The team will depart the high school at 2:50 PM.
