Hello all,

Last year, as the gifted and talented teacher and coordinator, I was able to start a comprehensive gifted and talented selection process that involved both candidates in academic areas (grades 2-12) and artistic areas (grades 4-12).

Our GT caseload is at capacity at the moment, but I would like to give any parent/guardian a window of opportunity to refer their child for gifted and talented services. I ask that you please look over the latter information on GT selection in the State of Maine and current pre-screening criteria for our district (click on the link): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_emaWa8IbpEQxbppTM8qhDXntuZ1tSJIHG48KNo2WRY/edit?usp=sharing.

You may fill out an Adult Referral form for the arts (click on the link): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_emaWa8IbpEQxbppTM8qhDXntuZ1tSJIHG48KNo2WRY/edit?usp=sharing or academics (click on the link): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_TaFPvMnUFi1xwDumGx-PPwkTPPmFNArINEGwoaOThY/edit?usp=sharing

Then submit all paperwork to Rachel S. Hamlin (or the secretary at your child’s school) by Monday, October 1st 2018 at 3pm.
