Wiscasset Middle High School is looking for a dynamic, committed varsity basketball coach who will emphasize character, sportsmanship, and responsibility in addition to helping student athletes develop basketball skills. The successful candidate will possess a positive, collaborative approach to coaching athletics and will see the court as an extension of the classroom. Years of successful JV/Varsity coaching experience preferred.

Wiscasset School Department has an opening for an experienced Finance Manager to supervise the management of the financial affairs of the Wiscasset School Department. This position works closely with, and reports directly to, the Superintendent of Schools to develop and oversee the district budget, ensure the school department is in compliance with all Federal and State laws and district policies, and to coordinate and oversee the District’s annual audit.
This position is also responsible for producing the bi-weekly payroll functions including preparing monthly reporting and account reconciliations.
The successful candidate will have experience working with Tyler Technologies ADS system, preparing and presenting school department budgets, and knowledge of payroll and tax laws. Familiarity with the MePers system is a plus.

The Sheepscot Regional Education program has an opening for the following position:

Grades 8-12 Special Education Teacher: The Sheepscot Regional Education Program, serves students identified with Behavioral and Emotional challenges. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic special education teacher who truly enjoys working with teenagers in grades 8-12. This is a highly structured program that utilizes a variety of instructional techniques. Successful candidate will be able to: complete all aspects of IEP development and implementation; develop and deliver specially designed instruction in multiple content areas; participate in the development and implementation of positive behavior support plans; manage behavior using positive, and proactive strategies; accurately record data on students’ progress; successfully complete Safety Care training; and work as part of a strong cohesive team.
