The successful candidate will have school experience with a thorough understanding of how to assess and treat children with both physical and mental health needs in the school setting. Ability to communicate with parents, teachers and students is a must. Knowledge of behavior management and school screenings is preferred. Required endorsements include 1. Possession of a current license to practice professional nursing in Maine. 2. Three year's experience as a professional registered nurse. 3. Certification as required by the Department of Education. 4. A baccalaureate degree is required.

~Wiscasset Middle High School Special Education Teacher:

This special educator will be responsible for providing specialized instruction, IEP development, and meeting attendance, collaboration with classroom teachers, and overall case management of special education students. Experience with classroom management, specialized instruction programs/practices, behavior intervention plans and knowledge of various instructional modalities and programming necessary. Having the ability to work closely with all necessary stakeholders while using several forms of communication are all integral in this exciting role. Must hold ME DOE certification as special educator.
