Special Education Teacher K-6 Autism Program - *REPOST

This position will begin with the 2017-2018 school year. Wiscasset Elementary School is seeking a special education teacher to lead and work with students in the K-6 Autism program. The successful candidate will be able to:
- Demonstrate the competence and flexibility necessary to program for students with cognitive, emotional and behavioral needs;
- Create and implement behavior plans;
- Design data collection systems to report on academic and functional data;
- Complete required State special education paperwork associated with case management and provision of special education services;
- Supervise and collaborate with educational technicians
- Use evidence-based interventions for students with autism
- Work collaboratively with a group of professionals including, but not limited to, the SLP, OT, Behavior Analyst, general education teacher and social worker.

Candidates must possess Maine DOE certification (282 or 286 Endorsement)

School Psychologist - To begin May 12, 2017 

A school psychologist is needed to work with an exceptional educational team. Experience working collaboratively with other professionals is a must. Seeking a flexible and knowledgeable professional who can provide psychological assessment for eligibility decisions, make educational programming decisions, complete risk assessments as needed and make referrals to other outside supports and/or professionals based on the clinical data.

.5 Attendance/Discipline Secretary 
beginning 2017-2018 school year

This professional will manage the attendance and discipline office and complete reports, make telephone calls and work collaboratively with administration and other staff members.

Must have ME DOE CHRC certification and have experience using data information systems as well as Google Docs. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in Infinite Campus (including reporting), PowerSchool, Pages and Excel. This is a school year position.

Guidance Secretary
Wiscasset Middle High School beginning 2017-2018 school year

This professional will manage the guidance office for grades 7-12, supporting student academic and social/emotional needs. Knowledge and skills using PowerSchool, managing confidential paperwork, scholarships, college visits and official transcripts required. Preference will be given to those who have experience working with middle and high school students. This is a school year position.

Wiscasset School Department is seeking applicants for the following positions beginning with the 2017-2018 school year:

School Nurse (.4 FTE) WMHS 
- deadline June 9, 2017 (or suitable candidate found)
Must currently be licensed to practice professionally in Maine with three years experience as a professional registered nurse (Bachelor's degree) with complete certification as required by the ME Department of Education. The successful candidate will have school experience with a thorough understanding of how to assess and treat adolescents with both physical and mental health needs in a school setting. Ability to communicate with parents, teachers and students is a must. Knowledge of behavior management and school screenings is preferred.

STEM/Tech Ed. Teache

Candidates must have grades 7-12 certification Industrial Arts/Tech Ed (700) and/or Physical Science (350) and have experience teaching those grades in a PBE system. Experience with hands on design/engineering preferred. The applicant must be a highly collaborative and dynamic teacher with preference given to those with an engineering background, knowledge of NGSS standards and STEM hands on projects.


School Technology Integrator WES 
- deadline June 9, 2017 (or suitable candidate found)
Candidates must be ME DOE computer technology certified (680) with experience at the elementary level. This person will support technology integration and facilitate hardware and software maintenance. Will be responsible for collaborating with teaching staff in planning, organizing and implementing an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential in the area of technology.

Wiscasset School Department is currently seeking substitutes for the following areas:

Bus and van drivers to drive regular routes, sports trips and some field trips, CDL with endorsements required

Custodial - prior cleaning experience preferred, but will train. Must be able to provide own transportation, and be able to work independently or as a group in a school setting.

Kitchen Staff - prior experience preferred, but will train the right people.
