Special Education Teacher K-6 Autism Program - *REPOST

This position will begin with the 2017-2018 school year. Wiscasset Elementary School is seeking a special education teacher to lead and work with students in the K-6 Autism program. The successful candidate will be able to:
- Demonstrate the competence and flexibility necessary to program for students with cognitive, emotional and behavioral needs;
- Create and implement behavior plans;
- Design data collection systems to report on academic and functional data;
- Complete required State special education paperwork associated with case management and provision of special education services;
- Supervise and collaborate with educational technicians
- Use evidence-based interventions for students with autism
- Work collaboratively with a group of professionals including, but not limited to, the SLP, OT, Behavior Analyst, general education teacher and social worker.

Candidates must possess Maine DOE certification (282 or 286 Endorsement)

School Psychologist - To begin May 12, 2017 

A school psychologist is needed to work with an exceptional educational team. Experience working collaboratively with other professionals is a must. Seeking a flexible and knowledgeable professional who can provide psychological assessment for eligibility decisions, make educational programming decisions, complete risk assessments as needed and make referrals to other outside supports and/or professionals based on the clinical data.

Wiscasset School Department is currently seeking

Behavior/Autism Teacher Long Term Substitute 
for the remainder of 16-17 school year - K-6 teacher (or conditional) endorsement required and experience with students with special education needs preferred. Wiscasset Elementary School looking for a long term until the end of the school year. Position will include being the lead teacher in the special purpose programs and supervising Ed. Techs. in the program. A flexible, creative person who loves working with children is what we are seeking.

Wiscasset School Department is currently seeking substitutes for the following areas:

Bus and van drivers to drive regular routes, sports trips and some field trips, CDL with endorsements required

Custodial - prior cleaning experience preferred, but will train. Must be able to provide own transportation, and be able to work independently or as a group in a school setting.

Kitchen Staff - prior experience preferred, but will train the right people.

Boys Varsity Basketball Coach 2017-2018 season

WSD is searching for a dynamic, committed varsity basketball coach who will emphasize character, sportsmanship and responsibility in addition to helping student athletes develop basketball skills. The successful candidate will possess a positive, collaborative approach to coaching athletics and will see the court as an extension of the classroom.
